While obtaining my Bachelors of Arts degree with concentration in sculpture from Seton Hill University, I had the privilege of working with Josefa Filkosky, a well-known sculptor who was widely known as part of the 1970's Abstract Expressionist Movement. While working with her over 6 years I fabricated several large scale corporate art installations and served as her head apprentice and fabricator. Together we created over 30 pieces of her art and many more of her idea fabrications. I was proud to be apart of her large scale sculpture installations at Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
(relocated to SAMA in Ligonier, Pa) It was an epic learning curve and joyous challenge for everyone involved.
